HEIC (High Efficiency Image Container) saves space on iPhones and iPads, but many apps, email clients, and older PCs still expect JPG or PNG. Converting HEIC to JPG is the fastest way to share photos without asking recipients to install codecs.
Convert HEIC with Converty
Upload your .heic or .heif file on the HEIC → JPG converter page. Processing runs on our server with Sharp — your original is deleted after the job completes. You can also export to PNG or WebP if you need transparency or a smaller web asset.
Why HEIC does not open everywhere
- Windows Explorer may show a generic icon until you install HEIF extensions.
- Some web upload forms only accept JPG, PNG, or WebP.
- Older Android devices and print shops often reject HEIC outright.
HEIC vs JPG — what changes?
JPG is lossy but universally supported. Converting HEIC → JPG at high quality (90% or above) is fine for social posts and email. Keep HEIC originals on your phone if you want the smallest storage footprint; export JPG when sharing outward.
Batch workflow
Add multiple HEIC files to the queue, set JPG as the target format, and convert all at once. Each file gets its own download — or merge them into one PDF if you need a single document.
